[TROUBLE IS THERE IS NO DROP DOWN MENU. It just says PERMISSIONS. I do NOT have any: "INSTALL ADD-ONS/ALLOW, RECEIVE NOTIFICATIONS/ALLOW in which to effect such settings/contol.] Here is where I'm/we're supposed to be able to set the setting to "turn-off" permission for that specific website to send me/us PUSH=NOTIFICATIONS but it is not there as it "should" be or as it says it is. Has this been moved or changed? Or was it just dropped off when making changes/updating and just forgot to put back on when done the update work? Just guessing at this point...

1. I do not want to turn off all notifications via Windows10. It is important to get notifications regarding my pc/system of course. It seems they all are for that via Win10 anyway. I don't know where else specific website NOTIFICATIONS would be listed. Nothing else comes up on my pc via search or settings/search. 2. I tried one fix I thought would work toggling OFF two ABOUT:CONFIG settings on "PUSH." - per mozilla support https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/messages/new?to=the-edmeister 3. I tried to block pushcrew.com and clicky.com which came up near it within right click "inspect elements" on the title PUSH CREW. I 4. For some reason these work-arounds would work once then never again. Mute point I guess. 5. Would someone put the PERMISSIONS on the "i" in a circle in the address bar block? Specifically: PERMISSIONS" INSTALL ADD-ONS " ALLOW " ^ RECEIVE NOTIFICATIONS "ALLOW" ^

or let me know the new location or the new way to DISALLOW PERMISSIONS FOR NOTIFICATIONS, AND PUSH NOTIFICATIONS FROM EACH SPECIFIC WEBSITE THAT IS SENDING THEM OR ASKING?

note: In case this matters: I've also gotten popup new-WINDOWS with apparent advertising miscellaneous websites I have nothing to do with. Thanks!

After you've clicked on the   'i'   in the little circle,   you can click on the   '>' , then you can click on   'More Information'.
At the top you will see   'Permissions',   and you can scroll down and find everything that you mentioned.

note: In case this matters: I've also gotten popup new-WINDOWS with apparent advertising miscellaneous websites I have nothing to do with.

This sounds like it could be malware .
Would it be possible for you to provide a screenshot   ?

Thank you so much for replying. As for the first answer, I guess I wasn't clear, I must have tried too hard...ha... I have no trouble bringing up the "i" box - and the headers are all there - it's just the details after "PERMISSIONS" is MISSING. Totally gone. It does not contain the words or buttons to "ALLOW" either "ADD-ONS" or "NOTIFICATIONS". And why doesn't it even offer the "DISALLOW" CHOICES here?

Where would I have NOT "ALLOWED ANY SPECIAL PERMISSIONS BEFORE THIS"?

I looked at the SUPPORT page for CONTROL CENTER MANGE PRIVACY... and it shows an example with and without those details. Since it's telling me "you have not granted this site any special permissions" It seems that's why those lines aren't showing up - it seems it's saying that it only displays the "ALLOWS" if I have granted[allowed] any special permissions in the past. What? "in the past" might mean "already on the blah blah page" It really needs to say where that is because it doesn't exist for NOTIFICATIONS specifically ANYWHERE.

And I guess I haven't - and I don't know where I would or wouldn't have besides the other icons in the address bar and there is nothing there for notifications - believe me I looked and looked on multiple pages.

- I do know I routinely don't allow tracking and stuff like that... can you figure out how and why DIS-ALLOWING [NOTIFICATION PERMISSIONS] IS AUTOMATIC? [if I didn't allow special permissions]? It's not working anyway.

Basically, why isnt that setting stopping these questions frm livingrichwithcoupons.com from appearing, right?

Why isn't my clicking "DON'T ALLOW" WORKING {on livingrichwithcoupons.com 's popup that they sent, saying they want push crew to send notification for them to me?} What should happen? Any who's responsible to make it work?

Maybe they're being blocked on their SECOND popup from completely downloading the "to subscribe" once clicking on the SECOND popup that just says "GET NOTIFICATIONS."

Thanks for the malware program links. Do these all check out as not carrying further complications as some do? [I used a bad one before - ugh - can't remember the name..] I'm sure MS is okay. I remember USING malwarebytes something but not the results. I tend to like Bitdefender and was thinking about trying something there... Anyway, could those things be connected? It really seemed to happen simultaneously.

I refused to give up. Somehow the "path" : "i" in "control panel" in the address bar/right arrow/more information/permissions/notifications/change from use default or always allow to BLOCK - was there today. It worked TODAY. I don't know which thing I did yesterday made that happen or if it was program maintenance but I'm not getting the popup re: notifications from push crew. I am still getting the side bar "get notifications" subscribe - for some reason. So FAR no adware - or new windows popping open with strange websites - totally uninitiated or no high level of popups elsewhere either. The day is young yet though. I looked through the registry for pushcrew and Palikan that was not totally removed (snuck in on popup page and I clicked it a year ago and deleted it but it still hung in my apps and registry some. But yesterday I then ran 2 tools Malwarebytes malware and a MS tool. Malwarebytes came up with the same files so I felt confident it would get any fragmented extension and such. I turned off or zero'ed out a lot of push and notification lines in about:config seems okay but could that hurt down the road on PC notifications? I'm guessing push is just for adware from the website but not for important PC news, is it? Thanks!

I must strongly advice you to   (at least for now)   disable   Bitdefender,   as it is causing major problems at the moment.

It's probably due to my lack of braincells,   but I have absolutely no idea what you mean   ....... You are talking about the dropdown menu that you get after clicking the 'i' icon => More Information => Permissions   .......   (?) I sure hope somebody else will see this and come to your rescue   (sorry   !)

The drop-down list that opens if you click the Control Center 'i' icon at the left end of the location/address bar only shows permissions that were modified from the default value.

You can open "Tools -> Page Info -> Permissions" directly if you want to inspect the permissions from a specific domain. You always have to grant permission for a website to use push notifications since these notifications are send in the background to you via a special push web server whether you have opened a page from that site or not. Other types of notifications do not require special permissions.
