Can firefox be emailed to me as ie has frozen
My ie has frozen and will not give me access to repair. Can firefox be emailed to me so that I can install it without going through ie?

Hello,
If you can post to these forums, you can download a fresh copy of Firefox on that computer here (be sure to select the correct operating system, I am guessing Windows):
And copy that to your computer via USB, or SD card, or email.

A possibility is to open the Mozilla FTP website in Windows Explorer and download the Firefox set up file that way. See "How To Download Firefox On a New Computer Without Using Internet Explorer":
Or use the FTP program: Use only one of the lcd commands and make sure to issue the correct get command (ls should give you the name of the file) Open a cmd.exe command line window and execute these commands:
ftp open ftp.mozilla.org username: anonymous password: anonymous cd pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/latest/win32/en-US ls binary lcd x:\ (drive letter of an USB drive) lcd ~\Desktop (save the file to the Desktop) get "Firefox Setup 33.0.exe" (make sure to use the quotes) (verify that you have the Firefox Setup 33.0.exe file on the USB drive or on the desktop) bye
derekjscott is using a PlayBook and that can be a pain to get it downloaded, then find file then transfer it to desktop by either usb connection or slowly over wifi mount by IP. I know as I have a couple.
Besides the comandline ftp you could use another computer to download setup and the transfer by usb flash drive.
Thanks guys for the help. Fortunately I managed to "accidently " unfreeze ie and have now conventionally downloaded firefox. Cheers
