Multible tabs open when i clik a link to a new tab; then do not open or even show up when i try to close them with 'close all tabs'..they are like 'ghost tabs'
This has been happening for several days now...the tabs are shown on the tab bar, but do not open up or close when i try to close them....when i tried 'close all tabs', which then says 'you are trying to close 2 tabs', they are not counted as being open....only way i can get rid of them is to close FireFox completely, then it starts all over again. Ghost Tabs!
Chosen solution
I solved the problem, but not by using 'safe mode'. after going into safe mode and closing it and opening FF again; I then dl'd the latest version of FFox..33.0 (i had 32.0) a friend online told me there was an update to it..33.0.1..i found and dl'd that, then restarted my computer. I found the new version had deleted many of my fave icons on my 'bookmarks toolbar'...I got them back by going to this: "Classic Theme Restorer" found in 'add-ons' I did not add 'colorful tabs' again....
Also, an easy fix..my mouse pad was 'sticky'..by just removing it, my mouse works much better on my desk top...
now everything is back to normal..no multiple tabs pop-up, even typing emails is better now as well.

Hello,
Try Firefox Safe Mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe Mode is a troubleshooting mode that turns off some settings, disables most add-ons (extensions and themes).
If Firefox is open, you can restart in Firefox Safe Mode from the Help menu:
- Click the menu button , click Help and select Restart with Add-ons Disabled.
If Firefox is not running, you can start Firefox in Safe Mode as follows:
- On Windows: Hold the Shift key when you open the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "Start in Safe Mode".
If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one. Please follow the Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems article to find the cause.
To exit Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before opening Firefox for normal use again.
When you figure out what's causing your issues, please let us know. It might help others with the same problem.
