Our company uses Thunderbird for customer service emails. Recently all sent out mail contains gibberish instead of text. All of our emails are strictly in ASCII text format, and contain no special characters or images.

Attached is a screenshot of the problem. We would be very grateful if this could be resolves as soon as possible.

System: Windows 7 Professional SP3 64 bit Thunderbird version 31.4.0

I'd start by going to Tools|Options|Display|Formatting→Advanced and checking what fonts have been selected.

I'd also look at View|Character Encoding and check it's on something reasonable.
