Can't connect to Exchange 2003 IMAP after upgrading from 31.7 to 38.5.1
I can connect to other IMAP servers and can connect to this one from other clients as I could under 31.7.
The status bar says checking mail server capabilities .. but never gets any further and doesn't ask me for my password.
I did try setting network.auth.force-generic-ntlm-v1 true without success.
I did raise this when I first went to 38.0.1, I guess it hasn't been fixed yet. How can I revert to 31.7 ?
Phil.

2003 exchange I think has no idea of modern security. Are you using SSL/TLs? If so disable the use in both Thunderbird and exchange.
Yes, I am using SSL/TLS. Changing Thunderbird not to use SSL/TLS makes no difference. I cannot change Exchange because I am but one client among many and the others are working fine with these settings.
Is the server up to SP 2 has knowldge base patch KB968730 been applied to give the server sha256 capabilities.
This is one time I
think Outlook is probably working because it it not up to the current security standards.
You might also try installing this firefox add-on into Thunderbird. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/disable-dhe/
In Thunderbird on the toolbar then
In the wheel icon on the far right click the menu and select to install from file and select the XPI file I linked to earlier once you have downloaded it of course.
I have tried the disable DHE add-on without success.
I am trying to find out which patches have been applied to the server...
Other clients that can connect to this server include iOS and android IMAP clients.
