Transferring Bookmarks to New Computer
My old computer died, the motherboard failed. I got a new computer and pulled the drives from the old computer, but now I'm having problems transferring the bookmarks and history from my old copy of Firefox to my new copy. Obviously, I have no way of exporting the bookmarks because the old computer doesn't exist anymore.
I located the places.sqlite file and tried to copy and paste from the old drive to the new one and it didn't work. The old bookmarks didn't copy. Is there something I'm missing? Thanks.

Do you have any JSON backups from the bookmarkbackups folder?
Make sure you copy the file to the correct folder. You can use this button to go to the current Firefox profile folder:
- Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory:
Windows: Show Folder; Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder - http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox
