Happy Try F11 with the button Fn maybe your laptop has the reverse keybindings of other laptops.

Apart from the fact that I'm not touching that  Fn-key   (this is not the place to elaborate):   why would I   ?   It's not I who can't get this full screen to work. I can only hope that allowing cookies for this website might work for   'ozlemmc'   .......

To   'ozlemmc' : Just in case you don't know how to allow cookies for this website: In the upper left corner on the address bar there is a little circle with the letter 'i' in it; click on it; click on 'More Information'; click on 'Permissions' and then scroll down (or up) till you find 'cookies' .

This is what I just read on   www.channel4.com/accessibility/playerguide/
Keyboard Control in Fullscreen
Due to security restrictions of the Adobe Flash Player, keyboard control is disabled in fullscreen. You can watch programmes in fullscreen but to use keyboard control you must exit fullscreen. To exit fullscreen use the escape key.

Popout Player

The popout player may be used as an alternative to fullscreen. Selecting the “large size” button will scale the player window to its maximum available size .
This view, unlike fullscreen, is fully keyboard accessible.

I note that Ch4 Accessibility page page has an introductory paragraph

Together with DAC (Digital Accessibility Centre), we have developed the following guidelines about how to get the most out of the 4oD Player if you use JAWS, NVDA or DRAGON.

It also mentions the keyboard shortcuts useable in a screen reader as

Navigating through screens and using the controls: - TAB – cycles forward through screen options and control buttons SHIFT + TAB - cycles backward through screen options and control buttons SPACEBAR or ENTER – activate control / button / link

Those keyboard shortcuts do work for me on the test clip we linked to earlier and I can use them to either go fullscreen or open in to a popout.

Incidentally Keyboard shortcuts can generally be used on Windows 10 and Firefox. On this forum page using Tab will navigate around various controls (address bar, header elements, side elements, footer links etc etc) and links - try it - if that fails it is indicating something is getting blocked.

To John99:
When the 'full screen' button is there where it belongs   (at the bottom of the video),   you don't need keyboard shortcuts. When I want to watch a video on Channel 4 all I have to do is press that button; and that's how it's supposed to be and   (imho)   that's how it should work for   'ozlemmc'   as well. Right now, I'll just wait and see if anything has changed for 'ozlemmc', after maybe he has tried a few more things.

ozlemmc Using the same example as happy gave and I give the link to do you actually see the full screen icon in the lower right corner of the player ?

I am not going to register to watch Ch4 but the full screen icon does work for me.

You are saying IE has a similar problem. As Happy says that indicates it is not a Firefox issue. Others do not have the problem, and CH4 say it is not a problem. That points to some global software you are using possibly addblockers or security software that is able to affect both Firefox and IE. </blockquote> I see the icon but nothing happens when I click

below is 4oD's latest email;

Dear Ozlem,

Thank you for your further email and patience during this time.

Unfortunately, we are still aware of this issue and are investigating further to try to resolve this for those viewers which are affected. We can only advise for you to continue trying to use alternative browsers.

Thank you for taking the time to contact All 4.

Well IE or Firefox don't work and I am not gonna get another browser.

And the Channel 4 soap continues   .......
Clicking the full screen button on those videos worked like a charm for
me   ..........   untill today. Button is still there;   but doesn't work   (anymore). Also:   I was asked to turn off AdBlock today   (didn't have to do that
before either). I really, really hope that somebody can come up with a solution   .......  (I've run completely out of ideas;   sorry   ! )

Hi ozlemmc, Sorry we have not yet found a solution.

It is my understanding that you have confirmed you have the same problem in Internet Explorer and Firefox.

link ... I tried watching 4oD in explorer but still cannot enlarge the screen. ...

I also remarked in that same post that you had previously reported issues with adblockers and zoom settings. So I wonder if you are running in to similar issues again.

Please try with both Firefox and Internet Explorer (IE) Whilst in Windows Safe Mode. Does that help ?

You said you are considering trying an alternative browser, what are you considering Google Chrome ? If you try that please say whether that works with Channel 4's fullscreen mode for you, or whether that is a third browser you have issues with..
