When is the email search field going to be restored to T-Bird?

It went missing in update 52.0.1 and up til today I used it a lot to search all emails in the active folder by Subject, From, or a word or phrase in the email body.

Do you mean the Quick Filter Bar? Ctrl+Shift+K if it's hidden.

I suppose you're talking about the Quick Filter Toolbar. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/quick-filter-toolbar

Press Ctrl-Shift-K to restore it.
