Microsoft recently sent out an update that completely reset all my Firefox settings. How can i get that back? Lost passwords as well.
All passwords are lost, I still don't know what all has been reset due to that update, about 2 weeks ago was downloaded.

Hi, in case a Firefox Refresh has occurred, please look on your Desktop for a file named Old Firefox Data - Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings.
If the file isn't there, please see if you can recover your data from -

A really major Windows update gives you the choice of keeping your data in place, backing up your data to a temporary folder, or removing all your data. To check on the backup possibility:
Look for a folder on your system named (use Windows Explorer for this, not Firefox):
C:\Windows.old
Can you find a folder with that name? If so, we need to act quickly, as it usually is deleted automatically after 4 weeks.
To explore in your old user folder, you need to turn on viewing of hidden files and folders: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/14201/windows-show-hidden-files
Then look for
C:\Windows.old\Users\your-user-name\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles
If you find data there -- one or more semi-randomly-named folders -- there's a good chance of using that to restore your Firefox data.
More details if you found any folders... let us know.
These can't get your data back, but will help in the future.
These add-ons can be a great help by backing up and restoring Firefox

FEBE allows you to quickly and easily backup your Firefox extensions, history, passwords, and more. In fact, it goes beyond just backing up -- It will actually rebuild your saved files individually into installable .xpi files. It will also make backups of files that you choose.

In the event that the passwords information is lost, you should record all information in a separate text file somewhere else on your hard drive, or written down. You can easily copy and paste if you need to do so. If you are concerned about someone else looking at that file, you can compress it using a password.
