Chosen solution

Type about:addons<enter> in the address bar to open your Add-ons Manager. Hot key; (<Control> [Mac=<Command>] <Shift> A)

In the Add-ons Manager, on the left, select Extensions. Remove “ ******* “ Anything.

Also look for SafeSearch, SearchAssist Incognito, FileConverter Addon, SearchLock, DiscreteSearch, WebSearch, Findwide Search Engine

Now do the same in the computer’s Programs Folder.

Windows: Start > Control Panel > Uninstall Programs. Mac: Open the Applications folder. Linux: Check your user manual.

Hi,

It might be helpful if you'd tell us which search engine you are referring to, and maybe provide a screenshot .....

If you need help to create a screenshot, please see :

Thanks everyone for your answers. I didn't have anything in the extenstions file on the left of the screen (in the menu screen) to remove. But I did uninstall the program that was causing this mess. I don't remember the search engines name as I uninstalled it already. Thanks so much for your help!!
