I was upgraded to Quantum and have lost my bookmarks, history and downloads on my MacBook Pro. I have tried several of your solutions and they don't work. Help.
I was upgraded to Quantum and have lost everything as noted. I am also unable to bookmark new items or create a new history. Firefox upgrade wiped put everything. I have a MacBook Pro. I need someone to walk me thru recovering everything step by step. I have followed many advice threads and nothing helps. I don't seem to have the file names recommended. I have lost hours and hours of research (for work). Without bookmarks, downloads and history, my computer is useless. Why did Firefox do this? I can;t bear the thought of recreating everything when there will be ability to bookmark it or have a history of it.

You did not state what you already tried, so;
Look on your desktop. Do you see a folder called; Old Firefox? Look inside. Look for the folder with the latest creation date.

Note: Windows users should download the ActiveX for Internet Explorer. and the plugin for Plugin-based browsers (like Firefox).
Note: Windows 8 and Windows 10 have built-in flash players and Adobe will cause a conflict. Install the plugin only. Not the ActiveX.

There is no Old Firefox folder. I have no idea what those other links you sent mean. I have tried to follow advice but I have no idea what people are saying and I don't have the file names I am told to open. In addition to losing all bookmarks, history and downloads, I have also lost the ability to create new ones.
I managed to uninstall Flash Player and bookmarks, etc have returned. Thank you! Does this mean I have the earlier version of Flash Player? I need Adobe for business.

When you posted your message, your System Details showed Shockwave Flash 29.0 r0 the current is 32.0.0.114
If updating the player fixed the issue, Great.
Thank you for your help.
