Is there a web extension for Dragon voice software, if not, why not?
Internet Explorer works great with Dragon, but IE is going away. Dragon's company Nuance has web browser extensions for Internet Explorer and Chrome but no longer for Firefox. WHY? Why can it work like it used to in Internet Explorer?

That's a question that you'd have to ask Nuance. Mozilla does not develop the web extensions for third-party programs. That's up to the company to develop their extension to be compatible for Firefox.
It's very odd because Chrome extensions are extremely similar to Firefox extensions, so it generally takes minimal effort to convert a Chrome extension to Firefox, and vice versa.
Actually, they do list a Firefox version on their website, but it doesn't install properly, possibly because it's no longer compatible with the latest version of Firefox or it hasn't been correctly signed by the developer.
Based on what I could find about the Chrome extension, it looks like it hasn't been updated in well over a year and there are a lot of complaints about the instability of the extension. It's entirely possible that the developers have stopped developing their browser extension(s).

Thanks for a THOROUGH answer. FYI, I tried out using the new “chrome-based” version of Microsoft Edge with the Chrome extensions. I find that Firefox (even without an extension) is EASIER TO USE and manipulate by voice. Post reply choose 4242
