Size max folder in thunderbird
Hi, I would like know which size folder max in thunderbird. In outlook 2016 size pst max is 50GB. On thunderbird is there any limitation on the amount of emails downloaded?
Chosen solution
Short answer is no. Long answer is the more you have in a single folder the slower things go. Given Thunderbird stores messages on a per folder basis, there is no global limits, only common sense ones. Like a single folder with 50Gb of mail in it would be an unwieldy beast. 50 Folders with 1Gb of mail would not be nearly as difficult to manage.
You might however run in the operating system issues, like opening a 50Gb text file (your messages are in a single text file per folder) Or limits like a FAT32 drive will not permit files that large.
