Help, my saved login info for websites no longer autocompletes, even though I can see the saved passwords in Preferences>Security>Saved Passwords.

I'm running Firefox 3.6.13 on a MacBook Pro OS X 10.4.11. Up until yesterday, I could either type in the first letter of a login, or even just click on the login field and the list of saved logins for that site would appear. Now, neither of those work. I can see all the saved login information, I just can't get it to autocomplete. I am not using private browsing.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

  • Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

The same thing happens in Safe Mode, so it's not a problem with an extension or theme. I also reinitialized the plugins db, and still no luck, the same thing still happens. The plugins that can be updated for my version of OS X, are up to date. I've even disabled all the plugins, and the problem still occurs.
