Can not re-install firefox

Received notification to update. Luckily Spyware Dr detected that it was a corrupt file. Tried to open Firefox and couldn't. Uninstalled Firefox as a further security precaution and tried to re-install it. When the "RUN" window pops up it displays diffrent authors. Has the site been hijacked or my PC?
