I opened Firefox, it said it was installing updates, then paused and instructed me to download 4.0. When I dragged this to the applications folder, I said yes to replacing the older version. Then, I was told this version doesn't support my OSX 10.4. I saw on the questions, I should uninstall firefox 4, but not the older bookmarks and data, but how do I uninstal if the program won't open?

Chosen solution

You can trash Firefox 4, then re-install Firefox 3.6. You can get Firefox 3.6 from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html

When you install Firefox 3.6 it should automatically use your existing bookmarks and other user data.
