Firefox on Android consumes growing amount of memory until a "low memory" warning appears

I've installed Firefox on my Android phone. It starts with about 13MB consumed and starts eating memory until after a few days reaches about 150MB. This is when "low memory" warning appears and I have to clear all cached data.

Sorry about that! This is caused by a bug in Firefox. We're working on it, but we don't have a solution ready yet: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=625981
