I would like to know the path to the plugin directory that the Firefox Tor Browser uses to handle the npswf32.dll. Where do I put the dll file?

I'm simply looking for the directory name. Alternatively the procedure of how firefox recognises the flash plugin. I have put copies of the latest version of the npswf32.dll into almost every directory of firefox tor browser and it still won't work and neither show in the tools/add-ons/plugins list.

Thank you.

The version of Firefox which you have installed is inherently dangerous because it exposes your system to attack. Please click Help | Check For Updates to update to 3.6.17.

As regards your question, the NPSWF32.dll file can be found in this location: C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash

Thank you for your swift reply. I have updated Firefox to 3.6.17.

I have found the npswf32.dll at the mentioned location. For some reason Firefox will not list or use the flash plugin. How can I tell the browser to use it?

Download the Flash player from http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

After you install it, go to the Global Settings manager @ http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager02.html and make whatever changes are necessary.

I still am looking for an answer to the question, it's not solved yet. Flash player is installed and the npswf32.dll is located in the C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash directory. Yet when I choose Tools/Add-Ons from the menu the Flash plugin is not listed there.

How can I make Firefox use the installed Flash plugin?

Mozilla doesn't support the Tor Browser. You need to contact the developer of that product for support. See: https://www.torproject.org/projects/torbrowser
