How do I add a SITE, USERNAME, and PASSWORD to the list in - Tools/Options/Security/Saved Passwords ?
How do I force Firefox to remember and use my username and password for a site ?

- Tools -> Options -> Security - tick "remember passwords"
- Log in to a website
You should be asked to save the user name and password upon login.
"You should be asked to save the user name and password upon login."
I agree with you, I 'should be' but I'm not.
btw I've tried that solution over and over again with zero results.

Thank you ed the addon does 95% of the job. Now, instead of having to type in my username and password, I only have to type the 1st letter of my username and this prompts the program to dropdown my complete username which I then have to point to and click. The program then fills in my password. I then have to point to and click enter. All this is far superior to filling in all the details. As I say: 95% of the job.
Have a look at Avant Browser. There if you have already saved the username/password info one click gets you to your desired site.
If you have not already saved the info, a couple of clicks does that job as well.
Avant does the password/Autofill thing very well. Why try and reinvent the wheel. Just copy them.
