verizon galaxy nexus won't accept urls in address bar, what's wrong?

On Verizon version of Samsung Galaxy Nexus (Android 4.0.4), URLs typed into Firefox address bar are not resolved. However, links in other programs, I.e. Google Read, are opened correctly in Firefox browser. But, once opened, the browser won't accept a different URL in the address bar.

Would it be possible for you to create an account in our bug tracker at Bugzilla, and file a bug here: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=Fennec%20Native - in the bug I'll assist with you in getting some logs that may help to determine the issue.
