With Windows 8.1 and Firefox 27 I fixed fuzzy text by setting the gfx.content.azure.enabled pref to false [...] on the about:config. But this line is now absent in about config. So what is the fix now?

Try this pref instead (about:config -> right-click: New > Boolean):

  • layout.paint_rects_separately = true

Thanks. Still puzzled why Mozilla haven't fixed this in releases given that it has persisted for some time. Hopefullu I won't need a third fix on future FF updates.
