I was attempting to email a 13 page document which I scanned which I have easily been able to do in the past. On my first try I easily got to the scan folder when I hit attach document, but it took an inordinate amount of time before the scanned document was ready to send. When I attempted to send the document, It took forever then indicated a problem and said to resend which I attempted to do several times unsuccessfully. I restarted the computer and attempted it again, but firefox would not respond when I hit attach document. This occurred on several occasions including after restarts.

You describe a problem attaching a document to "AOL mail" and that the problem occurred "When I attempted to send the document." Could you explain this problem better?

Firefox is not a mail program but you can set it to handle "mailto" links either using a mail client or webmail. See Change the program used to open email links. It might also help if you could tell us what mail program or webmail service you have set to use with mailto actions, in the Firefox Options Window, Applications tab.
