I think that google asks you for captchas, not Firefox. Why would we do it?

thanks for your wonderfully passive-aggressive reply. of course firefox would not do this yet using firefox makes it happen. happens to me suddenly today. made no changes so... why? what magical setting do i need to change? anybody but drainu. he knows everything but offers nothing.
