How can I stop Thunderbird from deleting messages arbitrarily?
Quite often when I delete "a" message from my Inbox, Thunderbird deletes a previous or following message at the same time. Sometimes I can find the message in Junk, or Trash, yet on several occasions I have to go to gmail on-line to recapture the message.

If you use the delete key on your keyboard does only the one email delete? If so, try another mouse. The switch in you mouse might be going bad and issuing a double click instead of the single click you performed.
Thanks for your advice. I think that may be the problem as it does not occur if I use the Delete key on the keyboard. I appreciate your response.
