I bought a new laptop and downloaded firefox. I then signed in to sync. All seemed ok and the message popped up that it would syn momentarily. It does not sync anything even though it shows as signed in. I have rebooted the browser and pc and tried every thing I can imagine. I even signed the old laptop out of firefox syn just in case that was the issue. Please help.

It was hung up on an update on the desktop pc my husband uses. I didn't know that one was signed in to sync. Thanks for your help! Sorry for the n00b question :)

Which version of Firefox do you have on the old laptop?

If you type about:sync-progress in the Location Bar and hit Enter, what does it say?

It says: Setup Complete

Your data is now being encrypted and uploaded in the background. You can close this tab and continue using Firefox.

The old laptop has version 33.1.1 - it is up to date.
