Currently contacts in Firefox Sync can only import from gmail, not vise versa.

Currently this is a feature that is still being developed. The Google contacts api asks permission to manage contacts when you import contacts however removing the imported contacts in Nightly is also greyed out. However this is something that is being worked on.
