manual upgrade notice on icon start page. Is it safe?
Just got help purging a very nasty malware virus infection. Will not accept any download that appears on my laptop. Is the upgrade notice that appears safe? I have virus protection. Still very wary..... Thanks

Firefox should be version 35 now. You may wish to set Firefox to up ate automatically. Some of the changes will be security fixes intended to help you stay safe.
If you use
- New MenuButton {three bar icon) -> Help {(?) icon) -> About Firefox
That should initiate an update. - See also Update Firefox to the latest release
