when I begin to send an email a long list of names appears with the same names the list covers up my subject line. How do I change this
If I am sending an email to Richard, a list of "Richards" shows up. The list that is shown covers up my subject line. It used to be only three names displayed but now shows five. sometimes I send it to that person's email address at the subject line when I am typing in a "subject". I cannot figure out why the list that appears is now so long or how to make it shorter so it doesn't cover up the subject line.

once you finalize the addressing the list disappears, so how can is affect the subject . For that matter is disappears when it looses focus.
I have heard of a bug that selects the name that is highlighted when the mouse leaves the selection box if no address is selected. Perhaps that is your issue. Until the issue is fixed I suggest you use tab to leave the address box
