Cannot access the outbox from my existing Eudora setup

When I installed Thunderbird, I could see all the contents in my folders from my existing Eudora account, except the outbox with all the sent emails I have made. The Thunderbird outbox is empty ! How can I set up thunderbird to import all the folders from Eudora including the outbox. Without this it is useless.

The Outbox is temporary storage of messages pending transmission. You would expect it to be empty unless you have a "send later" message sitting there. Sent messages would be in the Sent folder.
