Computer was destroyed, salvaged hard drive...Can I retrieve my bookmarks off of the old hard drive? If so, how do I do it?

I have removed the old hard drive and placed it into an enclosure. I can access everything that was on the hard drive so I know it is not destroyed. My question is this: Can I retrieve the bookmarks off of the old hard drive and access them on another computer? If so, how can I do this? I have gone through the process of finding the bookmarksbackup folder but when I open that folder and click on the last backup, it opens in IE, but nothing is shown. It just gives me the option of Open or Save and neither produces anything but a blank page. Working on a Masters degree and several things that I need for assignments that are due on Monday were bookmarked....PLEASE HELP ME!!!

Copying the file from your old profile to the new one should work. If the file already exists in your profile, you can replace it. The bookmarks should be stored in places.sqlite.
