When I open my email box the delete button doesn't appear. I have to open an email to delete it.
All of a sudden my delete option disappeared both with my email box open and with an email highlighted (not opened). I have to actually open it to delete it. My vision is impaired so right clicking the email to pull down the task window is not an option. What happened?

Did you try to right-click on the email?
Right clicking doesn't work for me because my vision is poor. I can't see the delete option.
Guess you're talking about thunderbird, not a webbased mail client. Right click and hit the "D" key (i guess it should be "D", in germany it's "L")
