when i enter a name in the To line when sending an email and it provides a list of suggestions to choose from. How do i clear the list so i can start over? It has a number of outdated email addresses that is just causing confusion.

All suggestions come from one of your address books. You have the personal and the collected books by default. Find the problem contacts and edit or delete.
