Hi, a Windows person here. You are getting your Windows path wrong and that command is no longer in Firefox as of a few versions ago now.

Closest thing would be to go to Tabs and put a Check Mark in the box for Open links in tabs instead of new windows.

Also a few in Privacy & Security To have checked.

What URL is giving you this warning ? If it is a public URL and not something need account or to log in for please supply it.

any url when i tried to open from email it is asking

"" firefox prevented this page from automatically redirecting to another page " and allow option in the end.

i can select allow and it opens the page but i have to click allow everytime i tried opening any link from gmail. if it is an hyperlink in a webpage it opens in the new tab without asking for permission but if there is a just a plain link in my email and i click on it it is taking me to new tab and asking permission to allow it

btw i am switching form chrome to firefox an di new to firefox.

in chrome when i hold the command and select the link it will open the link in new tab and i will be still in the current page but this function is not working with firefox ?

Hi, there are 3 versions of Firefox that all have different paths for the same thing, Windows, Mac,Linux all have different paths to the same place so let's see if can direct you to the right place.

So Options --> General --> Tabs , 2nd and last one is what I use.

Got it : The warning about reloading or redirecting is meant as an accessibility feature so people with disabilities or people who use screen readers do not get confused and isn't meant as a safety protection to stop redirecting.

Please go to Privacy & Security to Permissions then to the last entry put a check mark in the box Prevent Accessibility Services from accessing your browser

i am using mac i dont have options i have
        preference --->general--->tabs.

in tabs i didnt check the last option which is ""When you open a link in a new tab, switch to it immediately"" i dont want to switch to the new link i want to stay in the same page. in chrome mac when i hold the command key and clink on the link it will open the link in the new tab without switching to the new tab i am looking something similar in firefox.

it is already checked i did uncheck and restarted the firefox and checked and restated the firefox it still asking the same """ firefox prevented this page from automatically redirecting to another page " and allow option in the end."""

Well that is all I can come up with for that error as it was a solution for someone else and info provided from a Contributor.

As for Open a Link and Switch to it.: hat is not the options I have for 2nd and 4th. 1st = Open links in tabs instead of new windows 4th = Show tab previews in the Windows taskbar

In Firefox 56+ the "Warn me when web sites try to redirect or reload the page" setting can no longer be found in Options/Preferences.

You can modify this pref on the about:config page to enable or disable this feature

You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I accept the risk!" to continue.
