I've been having this problem for a few months and I cannot figure it out. Firefox sync keeps logging me out and asking me to sign in again. Its happening pretty frequently, and I cannot determine what is the cause - anywhere from once a day to seemingly every hour. It doesn't seem to be related to closing/reopening the browser or restarting the computer.

I've tried: uninstalling/reinstalling firefox and running firefox without any addons. In both cases it didn't work - I signed into sync and then it started logging me out and asking me to sign in again within an hour or two.

Do you possibly have security or cleanup software that might be causing this?

Boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support to see if that has effect in case security software is causing problems.

Firefox uses the Password Manager to store the credentials of the Firefox Sync account (chrome://FirefoxAccounts) to make it possible to connect to Sync each time you start Firefox without the need to enter email and password (this entry is hidden in Lockwise).
If you use the master password then you need to enter this MP every time you start Firefox.
If you are asked to login again to Sync then this means that the Sync credential data isn't stored properly in the Password Manager.
Once you are logged in to Sync then the signedInUser.json file in the profile folder is used to connect to Sync during the current session, so if you are asked to login again during the current session then there might be a problem with this file.

You can use the button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page.

I use 1password to store most of my passwords, but so that I don't have to re-sign into sync all the time I have my firefox set up to where it has my password (for accounts.firefox.com) stored. I do use some security software, but its all software that I've had for years and I've never had issues with this before a few months ago. I use BitDefender and CCleaner. However, I went ahead and tried safe mode with networking and still had to re-sign in multiple times.

CCleaner is notorious around here for causing issues like you describe. Look at the settings for that application and see if that changes getting logged out of Sync.

Never felt the need to use CCleaner, so I don't know how that is done, but basically don't let CCleaner touch Firefox in any way, shape, or form.
