Transfer lists from address book to another computer
Is there an add-on that will allow me to move the lists in my address book to another computer? In an earlier post, someone had recommended MoreFunctionsForAddressBook but apparently it is not compatible with TB 78.
Just to be clear - I'm not looking to transfer address books, but lists that I use for group mailing purposes.

You do not need any addon, this ability has always been available in Thunderbird. You can do this with either an address book or a mailing list.
Open 'Address Book' select the mailing list name 'Tools' > 'Export' 'Save as Type: Choose either 'Comma Separated (UTF-8)(*.csv)' or 'Tab Delimited(UTF-8)(*.tab;*.txt)'
Then you can open either .csv ot .txt with eg: Excel or OpenOffice Calc etc It is then easy to remove any columns you do not want, so perhaps only having 3 columns, 'First Name', 'Last Name' and 'Primary Email' or just 'Primary Email' - depends upon requirements.
You can also open using Notepad or any other simple text editor, but it's much easier to clear unwanted stuff first by method mentioned above.

Note: if you export as .csv then you can also use it with the addon 'Mail Merge' to send more personalised emails to groups of people.
A mailing list can be exported to a file, but when you import it on another computer, it will imported as a new address book. You could create a mailing list from the contacts in the new book. But since lists are connected to the address book in which they are defined, you would really want to transfer the underlying address book file to the other computer. The MFFAB add-on did this by exporting and importing .mab files, the files that represent address books, including mailing lists (exporting and importing books in any other format omits lists).
You can import an address book, including lists, with this method: on the target computer, create a new address book, and move the contacts from Personal Address Book there by drag and drop, if the contacts need to be retained. Next, close TB, open the profile folder, rename abook.sqlite to abook.sqlite.bak, and rename the source address book with the lists to abook.sqlite and copy it to the target profile folder. When TB restarts, Personal Address Book should be the same as the address book from the source computer.

This is in response to Toad-Hall's suggestion regarding the above question. I exported the list using your suggestion into a CSV file. How do I get the second computer to recognize this as an import of a mailing list?
It appears to import the names and addresses as an address book, not as a mailing list.
It has come to my attention that mailing lists are now preserved when exporting and importing address books in LDIF format:
