Notebook has shut down unexpectedly, History and bookmarks have been deleted and I can not add new ones. how can I fix this?

my notebook has shut down unexpectedly because of an interruption of electricity. When I rebooted, firefox had deleted history and bookmarks and now I can not add new ones... How can I fix this?
