The changes i make are undone when FireFox is restarted.

I want to make a change in the "about:config" to change the keyword.url to use Google's "Im feeling lucky" option for the address bar. When i change the info in config to... http://www.google.com/search?btnI=I%27m+Feeling+Lucky&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q= it works great BUT when i close firefox and go back to it again, the changes aren't saved and it has to be done again.

How do i make the changes permanent? Many Thanks

You may have a problem with the file that stores preferences, for details on how to fix that see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Preferences+are+not+saved

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
