When browsing the web on my Android phone and reading articles I have to do some kind of action from time to time so that my screen won't lock itself. Is there a way to keep the screen on for firefox like is some other apps?

Sorry, there's currently no way to do this in Firefox. If you want to change this for all apps, you can change the "Screen timeout" setting in the "Display" section of Android's "Settings" app.
