What other versions have you tried. Several of us and my family members had complete success installing FireFox 5.0 over top of FireFox 6.xx and thus solving all the problems with the current FF versions.

This is on Win 7 64x (my computer), my wife's Vista machine and a friends older WinXP computer.

Provide some detail on your previous efforts, perhaps someone here can help.
