when I type a start letter in my goggle search Window I get a drop down of many places starting with that letter I'm using Windows XP & Windows 7. How can I stop this from happening.

When I type a start letter in my goggle search Window I get a drop down of many places starting with that letter How can I stop this from happening? Is there something that needs to checked on or off in prefs. I'm using both Windows XP & Windows 7.

try this:

go to TOOLS then OPTIONS then ADVANCE then in GENERAL session go to ACCESSIBILITY and untick the SEARCH FOR TEXT WHEN I START TYPING then press OK to save changes. Restart firefox.
