I have the new firefox (9.0.1), the older one I knew how. But, is there a way to where I can accept cookies, but have cookies and cache (basically every way a web site can trace you, minus IP), have all this deleted every time I close firefox? Please tell me what settings I need to adjust.

Would like to know how to adjust settings so it deletes cookies/cache and any other way an website traces you. (I don't want my one account to be linked to others for sites I use).

Also, if possible can I do the settings while running on private browsing?

In the Settings for privacy, browsing history and do-not-track, change the menu from "Remember history" to "Use custom settings for history."

Then you can check the box next to "Clear history when Firefox closes," and then press the "Settings..." button and make sure it is set to clear "Cache" and "Cookies."

Or if you just use Private Browsing, then Firefox will always clear the cache and cookies (along with history and any other traceable information) when you close the browser.

You can also let cookies expire when you close Firefox. That way you can still keep some cookies by creating an allow exception. If you use clear recent history then all cookies get deleted including cookies that have an allow exception.
