Forget about using Windows restore that is sometimes known to break Firefox.
In Future remember to back up your Firefox profiles
Do NOT use any option to remove personal information but re-install firefox
- if needed download an installer from http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html
- then run the installer
- (follow instructions in How to install Firefox on Windows )
