i tried every solution that i've searched: resetting Babylon from "about:config", removing the program itself from control panel, troubleshooting firefox and removing all the add-ons, etc..yet none of the solution seemed to work; literally, none. Can you please help me out? It even "hijacked" my homepage for every time I open firefox, the homepage i set was changed to Babylon. The first reset of browser did it; but the second time i reopened firefox, it's still there! It so annoying already, so can I please ask for a very serious and effective solution to this problem of mine? none of the solutions I've searched so far has helped me...

Could you post a list of your extensions? Since the reset would have cleared all of them, any you have now would be suspect. You can copy/paste the list from here:

Help > Troubleshooting Information

The "Extensions" table is the second table on the page.

You also could check whether the software created or modified a user.js file in your personal settings (Firefox profile) folder. From that same page, click the "Show Folder" button, and look for any user.js file. If it exists, it's a plain text file you can open in a text editor for viewing. Anything Babylonian in there?

these were the only extensions listed..

there were files with "json" format but nothing related to "babylon". Does that count?

Since all your extensions are disabled, I don't think those are a factor at the moment.

In the main top-level profile folder, the search.json and search-metadata.json files appear to be related to the search box. Those would not reset your home page.

If you do not have a user.js file, some external software may be editing the prefs.js file directly. Firefox reads this file at startup and updates this file at exit, and like user.js, it can be used to set your home page and various other settings that appear in about:config.

When you checked Programs and Features, did you find and remove program(s) named "Browser Manager", "Bprotector", and "Object Installer"? These also are associated with Babylon.
