I only have icon folders of history for today, last seven days, last month and older than six months. I want to view monthly history. The history was not erased and I just downloaded the newest version. Same problem. Thanks.

If you do not have history for the months in between then the history fro those months has been deleted. There is no other possibility. Unfortunately history that has been removed is lost and can't be restored. Firefox does backup the bookmarks, but doesn't backup the history.
