net assistant takes over my hotmail, can't get rid of it

when I try to navigate my hotmail, net assistant takes over and I can do nothing. I love Firefox, but I want to get rid of net assistant(freeze.com) and also anything to do with yahoo. If I use windows explorer, I don't have the net assistant problem

Netassistant is malware.

You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:

CHECK WITH ALL PROGRAMS.

Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP if you don't already have one.
