There may be an issue with the Firefox plugin checker.
Please do the following:

  1. Close Firefox
  2. Open the application data folder and locate the Firefox data
  3. Locate and open your profile from the folder
  4. Rename the pluginreg.data file
  5. Open Firefox

Does this fix the issue? If not, you can restore the old pluginreg.dat file by deleting the newly created file and renaming the old file back to pluginreg.dat
