Touchscreen zoom useless/won't zoom/jittery

I just bought a HP H5Z05AA 23" touchscreen, IE zooms beautifully, first time, every time. Firefox, nothing happens, or it's jittery. It is extremely hard to get firefox to zoom, rub your fingers back and forwards (pinch in and out) and after 10 tries or so it starts working, and when it does it is jittery. I hate IE, have always used firefox, netscape, but the touch screen not working easily and smothly in FF is terrible. Any fixes?
