Firefox 37.1 - how do I make address bar stay above bookmarks bar?
After Firefox 36 update, (now on 37.1) my address bar now appears below my bookmarks bar. So from top to bottom I have this, like in attached image: bookmarks bar address bar tabs
I continue to want the tabs on bottom; that's all good, however, I want the address bar above the bookmarks bar like so: address bar bookmarks bar tabs
Oddly, I can force Firefox to do this if I do the following: 1) Click the Menu button and then the Customize button 2) Now, the address bar will shift to the top 3) Next, click the menu button one more time to exit 4) Now, the address bar stays on top - but only for this window.
If I create a new window, I must do this all over again. Seems very bug-like. Any solutions? BTW, the only extension I have is the one that makes the tabs appear on the bottom.

This is likely a problem with the way you use to get the Tab bar on bottom. We have seen more reports about such issues.
Are you using an extension or do you have code in userChrome.css to get the Tab bar in the lower position?
- Tabs On Bottom: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/tabs-on-bottom/
In case you use userChrome.css then you can look at the userChrome.css solution I posted in this thread:

Your Tabs On Bottom link was the one I used - an extension created by Piro. And to be clear, I had Tabs on Bottom before the version 36 and 37 updates and it worked fine. It's only after those two updates, done just a couple of days ago on April 2 and 3rd, that this misplaced address bar started happening.
You can try this one instead to see if that works better:
- Tabs on Bottom (Australis): https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/fdgueux-tabs-on-bottom/
Thanks for the Australis alternative, unfortunately, same result. I also tried disabling both extensions and still, the address bar is in the wrong place. Removing them didn't change anything either. Really looking like a bug so far.
Ok, just tried something else (Not sure, I think I closed every thing first and then re-opened) and the Australis version sort of works now, although the three buttons in the upper right - close, minimize and maximize - are now overlapping the address field. I notice that someone else had that problem with this extension too. Less than ideal but I'll see if I can live with it for a while.
You can try to code in userChrome.css that I posted above. It works for me to get the tabs on bottom and keep the other toolbars in the correct order. You can set individual values for -moz-box-ordinal-group to set a specific order if necessary.
