I recently downloaded a program called Evernote that I frequently use , and have used successfully when I was using the Chrome browser. Now, each time I start Firefox, I get that popup message saying that the evernote.exe file is safe. I appreciated getting it once to be sure that it was safe - but to see it each time I start FF is now getting to be a bit much. Can I turn that warning off?

Thanks! TN

If you downloaded a program from the internet then a zone identifier gets added to the file via an Alternate Data Stream. You can check the Security tab of the program via the right-click context menu to remove this identifier.

Thanks for the reply. The program is actually a FF extension called Evernote Web Clipper - I have the actual program downloaded and working - this new addition is the extension that allows web clips to be made and then synced with the online and desktop versions, so there doesn't seem to be anywhere to find a security tab. This is a Norton message, but I haven't found any way to turn it off and had hoped there was some fix withing FF.

Thanks for the suggestion - will keep looking! TN
