My Lightning calendar disappeared from my Thunderbird as of 12/1/16. Can't find it or reinstall it. Have TB 45.5.1 - isn't Lightning supposed to be integrated?

I tried downloading and opening this file: lightning-4.7.4-sm+tb-windows.xpi with Thunderbird several times this afternoon with no effect. Just tried it again, and it finally worked - no longer a problem. Thanks anyway. Maybe it will help someone else. Just keep trying to re-install from file.

Sorry, no it is not "integrated". It is still implemented as an add-on, the only difference being that it is automatically included in a new installer download and there is now a check box allowing you to decide if to use it or not.

So all the usual tools for adding, removing, enabling and disabling add-ons are still relevant.

Open Tools|Add-ons, locate Lightning, remove it, restart Thunderbird, go back to Tools|Add-ons and reinstall Lightning just as if it were a regular add-on.
